rhcrayon: The Blog! - If Damon and I Lived In Springfield

01:02 am - If Damon and I Lived In Springfield
Drat you, Julie. I saw your avatars on Flickr and before I knew it, I was at the Simpsons Movie Web site, too, making my own! Not only did I do one of me, I made one of Damon. Then I made one of Damon from before our South America trip last fall.
Me,
Damon after spending three months in South America,
Damon for the first 31 years of his life.
Go to www.simpsonsmovie.com to make your own!
As you can see, he came back greatly changed.
It's funny, because last year I was involved with a show I heard people describe as, "If the Simpsons lived in South Park and were Asian, you'd have Cooleyville." (Another tagline I liked was "We can be dysfunctional, too.") The main character I played was not drawn after me, yet some people felt moved to believe it. (I'm gonna take that as a compliment and leave it at that.)
The Web site is up at Cooleyville.tv. Maybe someday the show will get picked up again!
Cheers!
rita

COOLEYVILLE DVD
damn them!
Re: COOLEYVILLE DVD
Your comment made me look, and I reread all the Episode descriptions (under "The Show"). Now I'm all nostalgic.
I know a DVD exists that has an official, Behind-the-Scenes feature with Stephen and Tony, the show's creators. I would love to see that! But I recently ran into one of the producers and got my hands on a marketing copy that contains the first four eps. Woo hoo!!!!
So I'm happy. :)
b4 and after
Re: b4 and after
The trip fine-tuned my philosophy toward life internally, but that's a blog entry for another time. :) I pretty much left what I love here, whereas Damon went off looking for change.
This makes me laugh--especially because the t-shirts actually look like his t-shirts now and before! In addition to switching to more "style-y" shades of brown, one of his old shirts actually has an angry cat on it (albeit making sushi).
I'm laughing,

Also, D's easy to make into a cartoon. He's one of those people whose mouths naturally turn upside down. When he smiles, babies laugh.
(I would also mention his eyes that sparkle too much, like anime, but unless I scan a photo and upload it, you'll think I'm just getting mushy.)
i miss cooleyville

You can upload a photo and it will create a Simpsons character for you based on that photo. I haven't been able to find a suitable image that works, but Rita, you will be infinitely better equipped to do so than I.
